COVID-19 Protocols

  1. Anyone who is sick or has any symptoms of sickness should remain at home.
  2. Rules regarding the use of masks:
    1. Any mask requirements apply to those who are 13 years of age or older. For children between the ages of 2 and 12, parents may use their discretion. Children under 2 should not wear masks.
    2. The auditorium will be divided into sections for the purpose of mask requirements. For this designation, “left” and “right” are relative to one entering the auditorium and facing the podium.
      1. In the left section of pews, masks are not required to be worn either before, during or after the worship service, including when singing.
      2. In the right section of pews and in the back section of chairs, masks are required to be worn unless seated and not singing.
    3. Masks are required when entering or exiting through the back section of the auditorium as well as in other parts of the building, without regard to where you sit.
    4. Men who serve the Lord’s Supper are required to wear masks while serving.
    5. The decision about whether masks are required in bible class should be made by each class. Teachers should poll the class to determine the acceptability of participants not wearing masks.
  3. Seating arrangements:
    1. In the “masks required” section of the auditorium, people will be seated on every other pew in such a way as to maintain distance rules.
    2. In the “masks not required” section of the auditorium, people may be seated on every pew to increase capacity.
    3. Properly distanced chairs have also been placed in the back of the auditorium to increase the seating area there.
  4. Serving of the Lord’s Supper
    1. In sections where there are empty pews in front of occupied pews, the men will serve the supper by holding out the tray to each individual.
    2. In sections where there is not empty pew in front, the men will pass the trays down the row.
    3. For those who do not wish to be served, individual communion supplies are available for pick up on the way in. You may also bring your own if you wish.
  5. Collection boxes are available at the back of the auditorium for members to contribute. There will be no passing of trays for the collection
  6. Headsets will be assigned to individuals and stored so that they get the same one every time.
  7. Afghans and blankets should not be left in the pews. If you bring one to use, you should take it back with you.
