Ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:11-21)

Series: 2 Corinthians (Power In Weakness)

Have you ever thought about why has God placed you in various circles among people? Last time we noticed how we need to desire to be home with the Lord so much that we make it our life’s aim to please Christ in judgment. Paul describes in the rest of chapter 5 how his desire to please Christ drove his purpose to be an ambassador for Christ in the world. I don’t know that we often see ourselves as people working on behalf of Christ to the world. Certainly, Paul fulfilled this in unique ways as an apostle. But this passage sits here so as Paul defends himself we can benefit from his personal example and see the responsibility all reconciled people have to God as we live among people. Learning why God wants us to not be of the world but live in the world will change how we befriend non-Christians. Let’s learn how ambassadors should act.
