Be Separate (2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1)

• (What?) Do Not Be Unequally Yoked -- 2 Corinthians 6:14 (see also Deut. 22:10 and 2 Cor. 11:3-6)
• (Why?) Two Reasons to Not Be Unequally Yoked -- 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
  • Righteousness and righteous people have nothing in common with wickedness and wicked people
  • Believers are the prophesied temples of God
    • We as temples of God are called to be God's dwelling place in the world
    • We must not separate from all unbelievers, otherwise we do not fulfill our purpose (cf. 1 Cor. 5:9-10)
• (How?) Be Cleansed from Everything and Everyone Who Defiles -- 2 Corinthians 7:1

Conclusion: Make a clean break from every person and thing defiling God’s temple so you can truly display God’s character to the world.
